On My Favorite Brunette, His Girl Friday and Meet John Doe I am getting a message that Windows Media can't play the media. I downloaded the largest versions and none are working.

Anyone know if there is a codec missing (seems weird since MPEG is pretty universal) or some other known issue?

i've encountered this problem a couple of times already. sometimes the downloaded file is not the problem but the software itself. if you've checked that the file is correctley formatted and the process of downloading was correctly carried out. might as well reinstall windows media player, it might be corrupted in a way.

Try downloading the VLC player from videolan.org.
